Speaking to the community folks, avid Yu fans and users; Sharma talked up the reason for delays in rolling out the upgrade which has now reached up to the stage wherein, Yu and Cyanogen gather along to get the approvals from Google for the software. "We are now in the final phase of Lollipop release. The software has been submitted to Google for approval today, and if all goes well the rollout should happen soon," Sharma told the users.
Apparently, Yu and its set of developers were facing stringent issues that did not allow smooth performance of the version which understandably forced the brand to retract its release date.
Expect the software upgrade to bring major improvements to the device, cosmetic changes owing to Material design and new additional features among others. Interestingly, OnePlus One users in the country are also getting the Cyanogen 12S update (via OTA) which will be their last incremental upgrade for OPO in India.
Yu is also busy with its upcoming device which has been uniquely crowd-sourced to be named Yuphoria. As of now, we're aware of the presence of a 64-bit chipset (mostly Snapdragon 410) and availability of 16GB storage space innards.
